His father was rosh yeshiva in Jakobstadt and rabbi in Novo-Aleksandrovsk1), author of the book Ohel Yosef.
He served as rabbi and rabbinic decisor in Plan Chadash (Yashn [Old]) for more than 25 years.
He passed away in 5666 (1906).
In the responsa Ayala Shlucha of R. Naftali Hertz Klatzkin, section 27, he is signed as a member of the court for the taking of a deposition.
