Bach Hannah Kasrielevna (1902-?)

Bach Hannah Kasrielevna (1902-?) - participant in the revolutionary movement, a party and public figure. She was arrested for her participation in revolutionary activity but was released after 13 months because of a lack of evidence. Having left prison, she continued her illegal work and was the technical director of a unit of tailors. She participated in the work of left-wing trade unions, supervised cultural industries in the club of the left-wing trade unions and helped conduct meetings. In 1931, she was arrested while conducting a meeting at the lumber mill and was sentenced to three years in prison. After her release, she emigrated with the permission of the Communist Party of Latvia to her husband in the USSR, where she worked until 1948 as a secretary of the academic office and party cabinet of the Communist University of Workers of the East, a nurse, the manager of the reading hut (1941-1943) and the manager of the club. From 1948 to 1958, she was a bottler at a medical supply factory and an inspector of manufactured products at the “Avantgarde” factory in Riga. In retirement, she worked on public redaction at the Institute of History of the Central Committee of the Latvian Communist Party. She was a merit pensioner of national significance.
