He worked as a tinsmith for private employers in Rēzekne (1926–1934), served in the Latvian Army (1934–1935), and then worked as a roofer in Riga (1935–1940) and in Rēzekne (1940–1941). From 1941 to 1942, he worked as a roofer in Malysh, Kirov Region. He served in the Soviet Army from 1942 to 1944 and was seriously wounded. He returned to Riga in 1945.
Mozus Veksler worked as a roofer for Voenflottorg (1946–1948), then moved to Kherson, where he was employed as a roofer in a construction office (1948–1953). Returning to Riga, he worked in various roles: raw materials procurement officer at the Promprodukt artel (1953–1954), artisan tinsmith (1954–1955), tinsmith at a repair and construction office (1955–1959). He was convicted and served a sentence in 1959. Afterwards, he resumed work as a roofer in Riga (1960–1961), a press operator at the Ausma factory (1962), a tinsmith at the Main Directorate for Consumer Services (1962–1967), and a roofer for the RSU MPP (1967–1971).
He was married to Brocha Ayzikovna Veksler (née Chernobrova) (1910, Riga – murdered by the Nazis in 1941, Rēzekne). Their sons, Leib Mozusovich Veksler (b. 1937, Riga) and Yasha Mozusovich Veksler (b. 1940), were also murdered in 1941 in Rēzekne.
His second marriage was to Zelda Ruvinovna Veksler (née Lapp) (b. 1921, Riga). They had two children: Motel Mozusovich Veksler (b. 1946, Riga) and Margarita Mozusovna Veksler (b. 1953, Kherson).
In 1971, Mozus Veksler received permission to emigrate to Israel, where his brother-in-law Khezkiel Ruvinovich Lapp (b. 1915, Riga) had been residing since 1939.
