Golman (Golmann) Khaim Samuilovich (30 March 1919, Daugavpils) — labourer.
Khaim Golman was born into the family of Samuil Efremovich Golman (1889–1955, Riga), a labourer, and Taibe Zalmanovna Golman (1894–1930), a seamstress. He completed primary education at a Jewish school in Riga in 1933, after which he worked at the textile factory “Khoron” (1933–1935) and at the leather factory “Stella” (1935–1941). Unable to evacuate during the war, he was confined in the Riga Ghetto and later imprisoned in the Stutthof concentration camp (1941–1945, Germany). Following liberation, he received treatment in a hospital in Toruń, Poland, in 1945, and served in the Soviet Army from 1945 to 1946.
Upon returning to Riga, he worked as an expediter and head of a confectionery department at the Riga-2 railway station buffet (1946–1961), and as an expediter at the Riga Mezhrairyb PO (Interdistrict Fish Production Facility) (1961–1971).
He was married to Liba Iosifovna Golman (née Shlakhter) (born 1925), with whom he had two daughters: Taibe Khaimovna Golman (born 1948) and Dalia Khaimovna Golman (born 1955).
In 1971, he received permission to emigrate to Israel, where his wife’s cousin, Tanya Ruvinovna Sorokina (born 1915), had been living since 1936.
