Zaks (Zak) (Taits) Sima Lipovna (20.01.1921, Daugavpils) – worker.

Sima Zaks graduated from the 8th grade of the Daugavpils Primary School in 1930. In 1932, her parents, Lipa Taits (1898, Ilūkste – 1975, Riga) and Itta (Ita)Taits (Prezma) (1898, Daugavpils) moved to Riga. From 1936 to 1941, she worked at a leather goods factory in Riga. In 1941, she was evacuated to the Yaroslavl Oblast and worked on a collective farm in the village of Sukhatino, Palkinsky district. In 1943, she moved to Udmurtia and worked at the “Fakel” glass factory in Sarapul until 1945. In 1945, Sima Zaks returned to Riga. From 1946 to 1949, she worked at Riga's canteen, restaurant, and cafe enterprises in positions such as accountant, bookkeeper, and manager. In 1951, she married Todres Zaks (1921, Daugavpils); they had children Izrail Zaks (1951, Riga) and Bella Gavare (Zak) (1954, Riga). From 1963 to 1966, she was a worker at the “Primais Majs” enterprise. From 1969 to 1976, she worked as a 2nd-class overlocker at the “Daile” combine and as a seamstress at the “Rigas Audums” enterprise.
