Zakharevich (Sacharewitsch)(née Gilenson) Gita Abramovna (11.08.1921, Krāslava, Latvia) – seamstress.

Gita Zakharevich was born into the family of Abram Davidovich Gilenson (1889, Druya, Belarus – killed by the Nazis in 1943, Dagda, Latvia) and Ester Mikhelevna Gilenson (née Zilber) (1896–1924, Krāslava).

She completed five grades of a Jewish elementary school and worked as an apprentice in a private tailoring workshop (1934–1935). After moving to Dvinsk (today Daugavpils), she worked as a seamstress in a private workshop (1935–1938). After relocating to Riga, she was employed as a seamstress in the private workshop of Kaftalovich (1938–1940), and then at the sewing factory Padomju Latvija (1940–1941).

She was evacuated to the town of Taiga, Kemerovo region, where she worked as a seamstress at local sewing factory No. 16 (1941–1945). Upon returning to Riga, she worked at the Padomju Latvija textile combine (1945–1949). Later, she was a homemaker (1949–1950), then worked as a furrier at the Ādas Galanterēja combine (1950–1954). She continued as a seamstress in the Dzīmtene artel (1954–1955), in the Brīvība artel (1955–1957), and then was a homemaker again (1957–1965).

She worked as a seamstress at the Riga Department Store industrial combine (1965–1968), at the Home Work Combine (1968–1975), for the firm Latvija (1975), and in Workshop No. 3 of the Siluets production association (1975–1977). From 1977 to 1978 she was supported by her husband. She then worked as a seamstress at the Rīgas Modes production association (1978–1979), again kept house (1979–1980), and returned to work at Rīgas Modes (1980–1981).

She was married to Mozus Berkovich Zakharevich (b. 1913, Riga). Their daughter was Aviva Mozusovna Zakharevich (b. 1958, Riga).

In 1981, Gita Zakharevich received permission to emigrate to Israel, where her sister, Zelda Abramovna Kopach (née Gilenson) (b. 1917, Krāslava), had been living since 1936.
