Yudkin Viktoriy Aronovich (15.06.1936, Zaporizhzhia) — engineer. Son of Yudkin Aron (1902, Aleksandria, Kirov Region — 1990, Kommunar, Luhansk Region) and Lipovecka Khasa (1907, Aleksandria, Kirov Region). In 1959 he completed the silicate technology faculty at the Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute. In 1959—61 — assistant machine operator and senior foreman at the Belgorod Cement Plant. In 1961—62 — engineer at “Orgproekttsement” in Moscow. In 1962—64 — senior engineer at the Riga branch of “Orgproekttsement.” In 1964—65 — teacher of specialist subjects at the Riga Industrial Polytechnic. In 1965 — group head. In 1965—68 — teacher of specialist subjects at the Riga Polytechnic. In 1968—71 — chief heat engineer at the Riga Porcelain Plant. In 1971 — group head in the materials science laboratory of Latgiprostroi. In 1971—74 — head of a brigade of process engineers and head of the process sector at the Riga branch of “Orgproekttsement.” In 1974—76 — teacher of materials science at SGPTU No. 22 in Riga. In 1976—77 — senior engineer at the Inter-Sectoral Institute for the Advanced Training of National Economy Specialists in Riga. In 1977—78 — sector head of “Centrosoyuz.” In 1978—81 — chief editor at the “Latkoopreklaama” advertising editorial office. In 1981 Yu. was tried under Article 164 Part 2 of the LCSSR Penal Code, and until 1986 served his sentence at the Jēkabpils Construction Mobile Column, working as a concrete worker. In 1986—88 — teacher at the Riga SPTU No. 19. In 1988—89 — designer at the “Druva” collective farm in Liepāja District. In 1989—91 — director of the “Anzhazhement” center of the “Kontakt” firm in Riga. From 1991 — vice-president of the Latvian Professional Boxing Organization. In his marriage to Yudkina (née Elinson) Lyudmila (1937, Moscow), sons Yudkin Leonid (1960, Belgorod) and Yudkin Vitaly (1971, Riga) were born. Yu.'s elder son emigrated to Israel in 1989 and subsequently moved to the USA. In 1991 Yu. received permission to emigrate to the USA.
