Yazlovich Karl Ber-Leybovich (26.09.1924, Chernivtsi) — weaver. Son of Yaslovits Ber-Leyb (1885, Romania — 1935, Chernivtsi) and Yaslovits Mariya (1890, Rohozna, Chernivtsi Region). He completed 4 grades of a Romanian basic school. In 1936—40 he was employed in casual work in his hometown. Until 1940 Ya. was a Romanian citizen. From 1940 — a citizen of the USSR. In 1940—41 — worker at Textile Factory No. 1 in Chernivtsi. In 1941 he was confined in the ghetto in Mohyliv-Podilskyi together with his mother and sisters, Shibier Seravrina (1917, Chernivtsi, Romania) and Morgenshtern (née Yaslovits) Klara (1914 — 1953, Romania). After being released from confinement in 1944, he was conscripted into the Soviet Army. He was demobilized in 1947 due to his health. Ya.'s mother and sisters returned to Romania; Ya. moved to Riga. In his marriage to Yazlovets (née Fiselsona, Shpits) Leya (1919, Riga), son Yazlovets Lev (1948, Riga) was born. In 1948—50 — joiner at the Riga Woodworking Combine. In 1950—51 — barber at the Riga invalids' artel. In 1952—55 — joiner at the “Dinamo” combine. In 1955—58 — weaver at the “Ausma” artel. In 1958—59 — weaver at Riga Textile Factory No. 2. In 1959—64 — weaver at the “Sadarbī” factory. From 1964 — worker at the “Metallbytremont” plant. In the late 1950s Ya. applied for permission to emigrate to Romania to join his mother. In 1965 Ya. received permission to emigrate to Israel.
