Vorobeichik Aron (1895–1941) – poet and literary scholar.
In 1920, Aron Vorobeichik taught Jewish literature at the Riga People’s University and took an active part in the cultural life of the Baltic region. In the early 1920s, he taught Jewish literature first in Kharkiv and later at the Odessa Jewish Pedagogical College. Prior to the Second World War, he taught at the Odessa Pedagogical Institute and served as head of research and the manuscript collection at the Mendele Moykher-Sforim Jewish Literary Museum in Odessa.
Aron Vorobeichik published studies in local, republican, and central newspapers and journals on the lives and works of Mendele Moykher-Sforim, Sholem Aleichem, and I. I. In 1941, Aron Vorobeichik volunteered for the people’s militia. He authored several children’s books, including Dertseylungen far Kinder (Stories for Children, 1925), Farvos un Bizvanen (Why and Until When, 1926), and Shneelekh-Khavertes (Snowflake Sisters, 1927), as well as scholarly works such as From the Legacy of Mendele Moykher-Sforim and Sholem Aleichem and Censorship, among others.
