Vishnevskaya (Wischnewska) Erna Solomonovna (née Gurevich; born 24 October 1911, Riga) – accountant.
In 1929, after completing a three-month course, Erna Vishnevskaya began working as an accountant at various Riga enterprises: in the Royak haberdashery store (1929–1931), at Wasserman’s bead factory (1931–1932), at the Zephyr tobacco factory (1932–1933), in Lantman’s children’s clothing shop (1933–1934), at a canning factory, in Levin’s ready-to-wear clothing store, and at the “Staro” hosiery factory (1935–1939), followed by employment at the “Latriko” knitwear factory (1939–1941). In 1945, upon returning to Riga, she worked as an accountant at the Gastronom food supply base. In the 1960s, she was employed as an accountant at the Proletarsky District food trade office in Riga.
In 1935, Vishnevskaya married Bentsion Vishnevsky (1903–1940), secretary of a public gymnasium. In 1941, the Vishnevsky family failed to evacuate and was imprisoned in the Riga Ghetto. Her father, Solomon Gurevich (1882–1941), was murdered in Riga. Erna Vishnevskaya, along with her mother Yakha Gurevich (1855–1940) and her husband, was deported to the Stutthof concentration camp in Germany. She was the only member of the family to survive.
In 1958, she married Isaac Geer (b. 1922), who, as a Polish citizen, repatriated in 1959 and later emigrated to Israel for permanent residence.
