Vapne (Wapne) (née Ziskind) Ella Uryevna (born 18 November 1924, Varakļāni – ?) – factory worker.

In 1937, Ella Vapne completed 7 grades of secondary school in Varakļāni. During the years 1941–1943, she was in evacuation and worked on the Stalin collective farm in the Gorky Region. From 1943 to 1945, she studied at the Ivanovo Vocational School. From 1945 to 1946, she worked at the VEF Factory in Riga.

In 1946, she married Gidaly Eselevich Vapne. They had two children: Iosel Gidalievich Vapne (son) and Bella Gidalievna Vapne (born 7 November 1954, Riga) – daughter.

Her father was Urya (Uriel) Yakovlevich Ziskind (b. 1898, Preiļi – d. 1956, Riga).

Her mother was Roza Yuda-Elyevna Ziskind (née Golanskaya) (b. 1902, Varakļāni – d. unknown), who emigrated to Haifa, Israel, sometime in the 19??s.
