Taubin Moisei Borisovich (1952, Kansk) — draftsman.

Moisei’s parents, Riva Taubina (née Fogelman) (1922) and Boris Taubin (1920), both natives of Riga, were deported in June 1941. They met and married in the Krasnoyarsk region. In 1957, Moisei Taubin returned with his family to Riga.

He graduated from Riga Secondary School No. 1 but was not admitted to the Riga Polytechnic Institute despite achieving the maximum possible score (15 out of 15). From 1963 onward, his family applied annually to OVIR for permission to emigrate to Israel to join his mother’s brother.

From 1970, he worked as a draftsman at the Latvian branch of the Leningrad Design Institute “Proektstalkonstruktsiya.” In December 1970, he was registered at the Republican Tuberculosis Dispensary due to an aggravated ophthalmological condition.
