Strashunsky (Straschunky) Yoel-Dovid (Joel-Dowid) (1816, Libava, Grobin district, Courland Governorate — 1850, Warsaw) — cantor and composer.

Yoel-Dovid Strashunsky was born into the family of cantor Girsh-Borukh Strashunsky. In the 1830s, he served as a cantor in one of the synagogues of Vilna. In the early 1840s, he studied in Warsaw with Stanisław Moniuszko.

He toured with concerts in various countries across Europe. He was the author of synagogue melodies, musical pieces, and poetic works.

Strashunsky also became a character in Jewish folk legends, one of which is referenced in the novel Yossele the Nightingale by Sholem Aleichem.
