Sorokin Aron (1912, Latvia — 1988, Israel) — Prisoner of Zion.
From a young age and until the Soviet occupation, Aron Sorokin was an active member of the Zionist organisation “Beitar.” In 1940, he was arrested by the Soviet authorities on charges of belonging to the revisionist organisation “Beitar” and sentenced to eight years in labour camps.
He was released in 1948, after which he continued his struggle for the right to emigrate to Israel. He was able to emigrate in 1979 together with his family.
