Snop Lev (Lew) Samuilovich (1904 — unknown) — worker.
Lev Snop began his working life as an unskilled labourer at textile factories in Riga. From 1928, he took part in the activities of underground groups within the textile workers’ trade union. From 1931, he was a participant in the illegal revolutionary movement and was admitted to the Communist Party of Latvia. He operated under the alias “Voron.”
While working at the factory “Boston,” he led strikes and took part in organising flash meetings and distributing illegal literature. In 1932, he was detained by the political police in connection with participation in an event organised by the Communist Party of Latvia to mark 1 May.
In 1940, he was elected chairman of the local committee of the “Boston” factory. When the war began, he volunteered for the Latvian Rifle Division, but due to health reasons was transferred to a construction battalion.
After demobilisation, he worked at factories and in cooperatives of disabled workers as a weaver. From 1954 to 1958, he worked as a weaver in the artel “Tekstilnieks” and at the factory “Rīgas Adītājs.”
