Shvat Maksim (1907―1977) ― circus performer, athlete.
Competitor in Greco-Roman wrestling championships.
From 1922 ― strongman juggler in the circus.
In 1924―40 he was a member of various traveling circus troupes in Latvia, Egypt, and the Philippines.
After the Second World War he was a judge of sporting competitions at the Riga Circus.
In 1958―64 he worked as director of the Riga State Circus. Honored Artist of the Latvian SSR.
