Shepshelovich Mikhail (1943, Cherepanovo, Novosibirsk Oblast) — Prisoner of Zion.
He studied questions of Jewry, Zionism, and the State of Israel.
He moved to Riga, where he was actively engaged in Zionist propaganda and the distribution of Zionist literature and Israeli materials.
Together with friends he was arrested in 1970 on charges of Zionist activity; in May 1971 (the Riga Trial) he was sentenced to 2 years' imprisonment, to be served in a strict-regime labour camp.
He was released in 1972 and emigrated to Israel a few weeks after his release.
