Reshal (Rechal) Alexander Zalmanovich (18 October 1909, Riga — 1941, Riga) – educator. Alexander Reshal studied at the Riga Jewish private school “Torah ve-derekh eretz” and at the secondary school of the Jewish Society for the Development of Art and Knowledge.

From 1926 he studied at the engineering faculty of University of Latvia. From 1 August 1930 he taught mathematics at the Tushiya Gymnasium, and from 15 December 1931 worked there as a teacher and acting headmaster. He conducted classes in Hebrew, for which there was an official permit in his case file.

In February 1939 he completed the mathematics–natural sciences faculty of University of Latvia, receiving the degree of Candidate of Mathematical Sciences. This allowed Reshal to obtain the status of a full teacher and become the permanent headmaster of the school from 1 May 1939.

In December 1937 he married Fanya Brachman. In 1941 he was killed in the Central Riga Prison.
