Ratz Lev Ilyich (born 15 December 1946, Riga) — engineer.

In 1962 Lev Ratz worked as a janitor at the “Dynamo” stadium. From 1962 to 1964 he was an apprentice and later a cutter at the “Latvijas Papīrs” combine. In 1964 he worked as a locksmith apprentice at the Riga Vehicle Factory (RVZ).

From 1964 to 1966 he worked as a pump operator and later as a radio mechanic in the Latvian television reception network directorate. From 1964 to 1977 he worked as a radio adjustment technician at the Popov Plant, and later as an engineer in the design bureau “Orbita” at the production association “Radiotehnika”.

From 1977 to 1978 he worked as a locksmith at the VAZ special auto centre.

In 1977 he graduated from the Correspondence Electrical Engineering Institute of Communications.

In 1966 he married Dalia Isaakovna Ratz (née Weinreich) (born 1946, Riga).

Their sons are: Dan Lvovich Ratz (born 1969, Riga) and Elias Lvovich Ratz (born 1977, Riga)
