Rashina (Raschina) Sara (May 23, 1920(?), Liepaja — 1941) — violinist.

Sara Rashina began studying the violin at the age of three. At four, she received her first private lesson from Professor Adolf Metz.

From 1932 to 1937, she studied with A. Metz at the Latvian Conservatory, graduating with honors. At the same time, she performed in concerts at the Conservatory, on Riga Radio, and at the Jewish House.

In 1937, she took part in the International Eugene Ysaye Competition in Brussels and became a prizewinner (diploma recipient).

In 1938–1939, with the support of the Latvian Cultural Foundation, she continued her studies in London with Carl Flesch.

She gave solo concerts in Riga and performed as a soloist with symphony orchestras in Riga, Jurmala, and Liepaja.

She toured internationally, giving solo concerts in Paris, London, and Warsaw.

Sara Rashina possessed a vivid musical talent. Her performances were distinguished by impeccable taste, breathtaking technique, beautiful tone, and noble phrasing. She had an extensive repertoire and was highly popular with Riga audiences.
