Press (née Kropman) Betiya (Betija) Naumovna (15 July 1904, Cēsis, Latvia) — worker.

Betiya Press was born into the family of Naum Leibovich Kropman (1870–1932, Cēsis) and Yakha Khaimovna Kropman (1868–1929, Cēsis). She completed three grades of a local school (1915), worked as a domestic servant (1915–1931), and was a homemaker (1931–1941).

She was evacuated to Ivanovo Region, where she worked as a labourer at the Panfilovo peat plant (1942–1945). After moving to Riga, she was dependent on her husband (1945–1950), then worked as a labourer in the “Raznoprom” artel (1950–1952), the “Galalit” artel (1953–1955), and the “Cīņa” artel (1955–1959). From 1959 she was retired.

In marriage with Fayva Isakovich Press (1904, Cēsis – 1952, Riga) a daughter was born: Yakha Fayvovna Goltsman (née Press) (1932, Riga).

In 1969 Betiya Press applied for permission to emigrate to Israel, where her daughter’s husband’s brother, Fayvel Vulfovich Goltsman (1923, Krustpils, Latvia), resided. The documents contain no information as to whether permission was granted or refused.
