Markushevich (Markuschewitsch) Sholom Simonovich (1 April 1946, Riga) — tinsmith.

Sholom Markushevich was born into a working-class family, the son of Simon Sholemovich Markushevich (born 1909, Jelgava, Latvia) and Lubov Semenovna Markushevich (née Rabinovich) (born 1916, Jelgava). Archival records contain no information about his formal education.

He worked as a ventilation fitter at the Straume factory (1973–1974), as a tinsmith at the Latbytchim enterprise (1974–1975), in Repair and Construction Administration No. 6 (1975–1976), at the Lenin State Farm (1976), and subsequently at other enterprises and administrative bodies.

From an unregistered relationship he had a son, Boris Sholomovich Markushevich (born 1977, Riga).

In 1988 Sholom Markushevich received permission to travel to Israel to visit his parents and brother, who had emigrated there in 1979.
