Lempert Yuriy Grigorievich
(July 28, 1938, Ventspils) — medical professional.
Yuriy Lempert was born to Grigory Lempert (1906, Riga) and Elza Lempert (née Glazer) (1906, Vienna). During the Second World War he was evacuated with his parents to the Dagestan Region.
In 1955 he graduated from Riga Secondary School No. 32. In 1955–56 he worked as a metal planer at the Riga Electromechanical Factory. Beginning in 1956 he studied at the Riga Medical Institute.
He is married to Elena Lempert (née Karpel) (1938, Moscow). In 1962 Yuriy Lempert received permission to repatriate to Austria as the son of an Austrian national.
