Lapa Nakhman (Nachman) Borisovich (26 July 1905, Tokarevka village, Tambov Region) — weaver.

Nakhman Lapa was the son of Boris Lapa (1879, Rēzekne — 1917, Riga) and Eta Lapa (née Sher) (1882, Riga — 1941, Riga).

In 1924, he completed eight grades of the Jewish school in Riga. From 1923 to 1941, he worked as a foreman in a weaving workshop, later nationalised and renamed Sarkanā Tekstilniece. In 1941, he was evacuated to the settlement of Yuzha in Ivanovo Region. In 1942, he served in the Soviet Army as a private in the 1st Separate Latvian Rifle Regiment and was discharged for health reasons.

From 1942 to 1945, he worked as a general labourer at the Izhlestrust enterprise in Izhevsk. In 1945, he returned to Riga. From 1945 to 1948, he was head of the food depot of the Motostroy Department of Workers’ Supply (ORS). From 1948 to 1951, he was a weaving foreman in the Sarkanā Tekstilniece artel. From 1951 to 1953, he worked as a foreman in the Sacensība artel. From 1953 to 1968, he was a fitter in the weaving department of the Tekstilnieks factory. From 1965 to 1966, he worked as an assistant foreman at the Sadarbs factory. From 1966 to 1978, he was a shop assistant in Shop No. 56 of the Riga Textile, Garment and Footwear Trade organisation. Since 1978 — pensioner.

In his marriage to Izela Lapa (née Hertzberg) (1914, Kuldīga), two daughters were born: Benita Lapa (1938, Riga — 1941, Cheboksary) and Marina Gotmakher (née Lapa) (1946, Riga).

During the Holocaust, his mother Eta Lapa (née Sher) (1882–1941) and his sister Riva Lapa (1914–1941) were killed. His brother Yakov Lapa (born 1910, Tambov) was living in Leningrad in the late 1970s. His brother Mikhail Lapp (born 1907, Voronezh) emigrated from Latvia to the USA in 1933.

In 1978, Nakhman Lapa received permission to emigrate to Israel, invited by his cousin Feiga (Fani Avni) Ivanchenko (née Khait) (born 1925, Riga).
