Krupp Aron Yakovlevich (b. 30 October 1937, Daugavpils – d. 25 March 1971, Eastern Sayan Mountains) — Soviet poet, bard, and a classic representative of the “tourist” school in Russian author’s song.

During World War II, Aron Krupp lived in evacuation in Alma-Ata and later in Liepāja. In 1964, he graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Motion Picture Engineers and was assigned to Minsk, where he worked as an optical engineer at the S. I. Vavilov Optical Plant.

Krupp began writing songs to his own lyrics in 1959. He was a laureate of the Tourist Song Competitions held during the First and Second All-Union Youth Hikes in Brest (1965) and Moscow (1966). Passionate about mountain tourism and alpinism, he participated in difficult expeditions across the Sayan Mountains, the Kola Peninsula, and the Subpolar Urals. He served as the chairman of the first Minsk Club of Amateur Song “Svitsiaz.”

On 25 March 1971, Aron Krupp and his companions — Mikhail Koren, Anna Nekhayeva, Vladimir Skakun, Alexander Nosko, Vadim Kazarin, Alexander Fabrisenko, Fedor Gimein, and Igor Korneev — perished in an avalanche during a hiking expedition in the Eastern Sayan Mountains.
