Kron (née Truman) Maria Lazarevna (b. 1 April 1922, Balvi) — seamstress.

Maria Kron was the daughter of Lazar Truman (d. 1924, Balvi) and Slova Truman (d. 1943, Toguchin, Novosibirsk Region).

In 1932, she completed two grades of primary school and became an apprentice to a tailor in Balvi. Until 1941, she worked as a seamstress. In 1941, she was evacuated with her mother to Novosibirsk, where she worked at a drying plant and in a local kolkhoz. In 1944–1945, she worked as a seamstress in a household repair workshop in Toguchin.

In 1945, Maria Kron returned to Balvi, where she worked as a seamstress at the Balvi Industrial Combine until 1950. That year, she moved to Riga. From 1954 to 1959, she worked as a seamstress at the Stakhanovietis artel. In 1959, she was employed as a seamstress at the household services complex of the Moscow District of Riga. In 1960–1961, she worked as a cleaner at the city food trade organization of the Moscow District of Riga; in 1961–1964, as a nurse at the 4th Riga City Polyclinic; and in 1964–1966, as a kitchen worker for the public catering trust of the same district. Since 1966, she has worked as a cleaner at the Riga Polytechnic Institute.

Married to Khaim Kron (b. 1922, Riga). Their son, Lazar Khaimovich Kron, was born in 1951 in Riga.

Maria Kron’s sister, Leya Truman (b. 1918 – d. 1941, Riga), perished in the Holocaust. Her brother, Khaim Truman (b. 1912, Balvi), lived and worked in Balvi in the 1960s and later emigrated to Israel. In 1963, Maria applied for permission to emigrate to Israel, but her request was denied.
