Kreiner (née Fridman) Nelya Ekhilevna (September 7, 1938, Vitebsk) — engineer.

Nelya Kreiner spent the war years in evacuation in the city of Chkalov. After the war, her family returned to Vitebsk. In 1949, after the death of her mother, Rakhil Fridman (1907–1948), she moved to Latvia to live with relatives. From 1955 to 1958, she studied in the sewing department of the Riga Industrial Technical School. From 1958 to 1960, she worked at Riga’s individual tailoring factories No. 1 and No. 2. From 1962 to 1967, she was a laboratory technician at the Riga Production Complex of the Main Directorate of Transport Construction of the Ministry of Railways. In 1976, she completed the Economics Faculty of the Moscow Technological Institute by correspondence. From 1977 to 1980, she worked as a senior engineer at the Central Design Bureau “Latremselkhoz-mash” and as head of the sector of the scientific research laboratory for technical and economic justification and planning.

Her marriage, registered in 1960, to Zusman Kreiner (b. 1938, Riga), was dissolved in 1973. Later, her former husband moved to Minsk and, after remarrying, emigrated to Israel in 1980. In 1980, Nelya Kreiner left Latvia.
