In 1929, Pinkhas Komarovsky graduated from the University of Bucharest and worked as a physician. In 1941, he was mobilized into the Soviet Army. During the winter of 1941, he began working at Evacuation Hospital No. 3808, which was relocated from Rostov to Tashkent. Later, he was transferred to the First Clinical Hospital in Astrakhan, and in 1942, together with the hospital staff, he was evacuated to the Kazakh SSR.

In 1945, by appointment of the People’s Commissariat of Health of the Latvian SSR, Komarovsky was transferred to Liepāja, where he served as deputy chief physician of the City Hospital. From 1972, he was retired.

He was married to Liba Komarovskaya (née Slutkina) (b. 1908, Tarutyne District, Izmail Region). Their daughter, Rita Komarovskaya (b. 1936, Tatar-Bunary, Izmail Region), was born in this marriage.

In 1990, Komarovsky received permission to emigrate to Israel at the invitation of his wife’s brother, Bentsion Slutskin (b. 1912, Tatar-Bunary, Izmail Region).
