Kaminer Mikhail Borisovich (19 November 1933, Polotsk) — engineer.

In 1939, Kaminer’s family moved to Vitebsk. During the war, he was evacuated to Chkalov region. Because of his military service, Kaminer’s father, Boris Kaminer (b. 1910), received postings in various cities across the USSR, and in 1945 the family settled in Riga. In 1951, Mikhail graduated from the Riga College of Light Industry. Until 1952, he worked as a foreman at the textile factory Zasulauka Manufaktura. From 1957 to 1967, he worked at the Riga Experimental Plant Latvenergo as senior technician, engineer, and later senior engineer. In 1963, he graduated from the Riga Polytechnic Institute with a degree in mechanical engineering. From 1963 to 1973, he worked at the Ogre Knitwear Factory as head of a department, workshop manager, and later senior foreman.

His marriage, registered in 1961 with Svetlana Yakovlevna Kaminer (née Dubovitskaya, b. 1940), was dissolved in September 1972, but re-registered in November of the same year.

He was awarded the jubilee medal “For Valiant Labour in Commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of the Birth of V. I. Lenin.”
