Kagan (née Matskina) Bunya Shlemovna (25 January 1916, Daugavpils – ?, ?) — milliner.

After completing Daugavpils Gymnasium, from 1931–38 Bunya Kagan worked as an apprentice and later as a milliner in Rabinovich’s ladies’ hat workshop (Daugavpils). From 1938–40 she was employed at Berkovich’s factory Rīgas filcs.

During 1941–45, while in evacuation, she worked at the Stalin State Farm in Ak-Kurgan District, Tashkent Region. From 1957–60 she was a seamstress at Individual Tailoring Factory No. 1; in 1962 a milliner at the Textile-Sewing-Shoe Trade Industrial Combine; in 1963 a packer at the Ausma factory; and from 1963–66 a milliner at the Knitted Goods Combine.

Since 1938 she was married to Yakov Khanonovich Kagan. They had two daughters: Mira Yakovlevna Kagan and Liya Yakovlevna Kagan.

Her father, Shlema Abramovich Matskin (1882, Daugavpils – 1941, ?), perished in the ghetto, as did her mother, Khaya Binyaminovna Matskina (1884, Antalakhta, Lithuania – 1941, ?), and her sister, Rakhil Shlemovna Shafer (1908, Daugavpils – ?, ?).

Her brothers were: Mikhail Shlemovich Matskin (1907, Daugavpils – ?, ?), Abo Shlemovich Matskin (1909, Daugavpils – ?, ?), and Avram Shlemovich Matskin (1912, Daugavpils – ?, ?), who in 1932 emigrated to Israel (Ramat Gan).
