Ioffe Elkhonon (Elchonon) Samuilovich (16 April 1928, Riga) — percussionist, musicologist.

Elkhonon Ioffe graduated from the Latvian State Conservatory in 1952 (percussion, class of Jānis Lācis) and in 1955 (musicology, under the supervision of V. Muzalevsky).

In 1947–48 he played in the orchestra of the Latvian Opera and Ballet Theatre. From 1951 to 1977 he was a member of the Radio Symphony Orchestra, serving as concertmaster of the percussion section.

A musicologist, he taught at the Latvian State Conservatory (1955–62), at the Riga Choreographic School (1970–74, music-theoretical subjects), and was a lecturer at the Latvian State Philharmonic (1974–78).

He later emigrated to the United States, where he became librarian of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra.
