Gurevich (Gurewitsch) Zara Solomonovna (1911 – ?) — Soviet publishing executive and early revolutionary activist.

Zara Gurevich began her working life in 1925 as a saleswoman for the joint-stock company “Shenfeld” in Riga. In 1928 she became active in the underground revolutionary movement and was arrested in 1931. She received a four-year sentence of forced labor. Upon release, she resumed her clandestine political activity.

With the Soviet occupation of Latvia in 1940–1941, Gurevich entered government service. She was appointed Deputy Secretary of the 3rd District Committee of the Communist Party of Latvia, and later served as Head of Human Resources at the State Publishing House.

At the outset of World War II, she was evacuated to the Chuvash ASSR, where from 1941 to 1944 she managed HR at a local print shop. After returning to Riga in 1944, she directed the Latvian Newspaper and Magazine Publishing House until 1953. From 1953 to 1961 she oversaw operations and then served as director of Printing House No. 5. Between 1961 and 1977 she directed a specialized State Publishing House under the State Committee for Publishing (Goskomizdat). She retired in 1977, having been awarded seven medals over her career.
