Grinberg (Khazan) Khaya (Chaya) Ezrovna (14 December 1922, Riga) — weaver.
Khaya Grinberg was the daughter of Ezro Khazan (1889–1941, Novosibirsk Oblast) and Feiga Khazan (née Faytelman) (1897–1941). In 1941 she completed secondary school in Riga and was evacuated that same year to Mary, Turkmen SSR, where she worked as a weaver in the “Krasny Vostok” disabled workers’ cooperative until 1944. After returning to Riga, she was a memaker 1953. From 1953 to 1958 she worked as a weaver in the “Sacensiba” artel in Riga. In 1960–61 she worked as a hosiery worker at the 2‑1 sewing factory in the Moscow district of Riga. From 1961 onward, she worked as a typer (printing operator) at the household services complex in the Moscow district of Riga.
In marriage to Boris Grinberg (1919, Surazhe, Vitebsk Oblast), she had two daughters: Fanya Grinberg (b. 1947, Riga) and Sima Grinberg (b. 1951, Riga)
Her siblings—Abram Khazan (b. 1913), Ginda Maizel (Khazan) (b. 1915), Hana Krumer (Khazan) (b. 1919), and Mikhail Khazan (b. 1921)—also lived and worked in Riga during the 1960s. During that period Khaya Grinberg applied for emigration to Israel.
