Between 1939 and 1941, Kadish Goldberg worked as a butcher for the Pruzhany District Consumer Co-operative. From 1941 to 1945, he was imprisoned in the Auschwitz concentration camp. After liberation, he served as a driver in military unit No. 96403/s.

In 1947, he returned to work for the Pruzhany District Consumer Co-operative as a procurement agent. In 1949, he was employed as a butcher by the Brest Regional Consumer Supply Office, and in 1950 and 1952–1953, he worked for the Zvezda Artel of Disabled Persons. He then served as a procurement agent for the District Consumer Co-operative in the Malaryta District of Brest Oblast until 1951. From 1953 to 1957, he was a butcher for Riga’s 4th Municipal Food Trade Organisation and, from 1957, was transferred to Shop No. 19.

In 1959, Kadish Goldberg emigrated to Poland and, from 1962, resided in the United States.

On 17 July 1949, he married Meria Mordkovna (or Markovna?) Goldberg (née Mogilevskaya). They had two children:

– Felix Kadishevich Goldberg (born 1950)
– Yuliya Kadishevna Goldberg (born 1954)
