Freidenson (Freidensohn) (née Bik) Sonya (Sonia) Khaimovna (21 November 1922, Daugavpils) - worker.

Sonya Freidenson was the daughter of Mikhail Israeli (Bik) (1898, Daugavpils) and Zelda Bik (née Bas) (1901, Daugavpils — 1941, Daugavpils). She completed six classes of primary school.

From 1936 to 1940 she worked as a seamstress in Flexer’s workshop in Daugavpils. In 1940–1941 she was employed as a winder at the “Rīgas Manufaktūra” factory in Riga. In 1941 she was evacuated to the settlement of Trusovo in the Astrakhan region, where she worked at a local fish-processing plant. From 1942 to 1944 she worked as a waitress in the canteen of the “Krasny Proletary” knitwear factory in Irkutsk. In 1945 she returned to Riga.

From 1949 to 1951 she worked as a shop assistant in Shop No. 24 of the Riga municipal industrial trade system. Between 1962 and 1969 she was employed as a worker and packer at the “Pirmais Maijs” factory. From 1969 to 1975 she worked as an auxiliary worker at the “Rīgas Apavi” factory, and from 1975 to 1978 as a worker at the combine of the Latvian Theatre Society. From 1978 she was retired.

She was married to Hirsh Freidenson (1920, Daugavpils), with whom she had two daughters: Bella Lisnyanskaya (née Freidenson) (1944, Irkutsk) and Evgenia Kopilenko (née Freidenson) (1947, Riga). Her father emigrated to the territory of present-day Israel in the 1930s together with her elder sister, Masha Atsmoni (née Bik). During the Holocaust her mother and sisters, Rakhil Bik (1926, Daugavpils — 1941, Daugavpils) and Sarra Bik (1927, Daugavpils — 1941, Daugavpils), were killed. Her sister Rimma Kodesh (née Bik) (1924, Daugavpils — 1974, Riga) was buried in Riga. In 1980 she received permission to emigrate to Israel.
