Fain (Fein) Vulf (Wulf) Berovich (1889, Friedrichstadt, Courland Province — ?) — physician.

Vulf Fain graduated from a gymnasium in 1911. Unable to enter Russian universities due to quota restrictions, he went to study in Leipzig, where he enrolled in the medical faculty of Leipzig University. With the outbreak of the First World War, he discontinued his studies there and continued attending lectures at the University of Tartu, where he obtained a medical degree.

In 1916, he was mobilized into the army and assigned to the military medical reserve. In 1918, he became the city physician of Lyubim, also working as a medical orderly and head of a typhus barrack.

In 1921, he returned to Latvia and from April to October worked as an emergency physician at the Jewish hospital “Bikur Cholim.” From 1921 to 1934, he served as a city physician in Valdemārpils, and from 1931 to 1935 also worked as a physician at a Red Cross station.

In 1935–1940, he was a physician in the Strazde district, and later, until 1940, in the Roja district. In 1940–1941, he headed the health department of the executive committee of Talsi County.

During evacuation, he worked as a physician in the Susaninsky District of the Kostroma region. In 1944, he was sent back to Latvia, where he worked in Ludza, Daugavpils, Bauska, and Talsi.

He was honored as a Distinguished Physician of the Latvian SSR.
