Bukhbinder (Buchbinder) Khonon Girshovich (March 14, 1906, Kuldīga, Latvia – 1979, Israel) – watchmaker.

Khonon Bukhbinder was born into the family of Hirsh Zelikovich Bukhbinder (1866, Kuldīga – 1921, Ufa, Bashkir ASSR) and Rokha-Leah Bukhbinder (née Levenberg) (1870, Kuldīga – 1933, Liepāja). He completed six grades of secondary school (1920, Samara). After moving to Liepāja, he worked for various workshop owners as a watchmaker (1920–1928), then ran his own workshop in Riga (1928–1940). He worked as a watchmaker at the “Kursa” factory (1940–1941, Riga).

During the war, he was evacuated to Plesetsk, Arkhangelsk Oblast, where he worked as a watchmaker (1941–1944), and later in Rossosh, Voronezh Oblast (1944–1946). Upon returning to Latvia, he continued working as a watchmaker for the Kirov District Industrial Complex (1946–1948, Riga), Jelgava District Industrial Complex (1949–1955, Jelgava), the “Darbs” repair-mechanical plant (1955–1963, Riga), and the 1st Riga City Trade and Industry Office (1963–1969).

In his first marriage with Dveyra Mikhailovna Bukhbinder (née Kremer) (1905, Griva, Daugavpils District – 1942, Ak-Bulak, Chkalov Oblast), they had the following children: Khana Khononovna Bukhbinder (1927, Liepāja – 1942, Ak-Bulak), Frida Khononovna Kremer (née Bukhbinder) (1930, Riga), and Mikhail Khononovich Bukhbinder (1936, Riga).

In his second marriage with Sonya Mikhailovna Fogel (née Kremer) (1911, Griva, Daugavpils District), he had a daughter, Vera Khononovna Shteingart (née Bukhbinder) (1949, Riga).

In 1969, Khonon Bukhbinder received permission to emigrate to Israel, where his cousin Katriel Bukhbinder (b. 1895, Kuldīga) resided.
