Borkum Solomon (Kalman) and Borkum Samson (d. 1828) – brothers, prominent figures in the Jewish community of Mitau (now - Jelgāva). In 1778, they joined the local charitable society Hevra Kadisha. They were under the patronage of the Duke of Courland and contributed significantly to the development of the community.

In 1784, Solomon Borkum laid the foundation for the Mitau synagogue, which was later constructed at his expense. In 1794, he signed a petition by a group of Mitau Jews requesting the granting of citizenship rights to a number of local Jews.

Since Jews were not permitted to be registered as merchants in the cities of Courland, the Borkum brothers, after the region was annexed by the Russian Empire, registered as merchants of Hasenpoth (Bilta District) (now - Aizpute).
