Beshkina (Beschkina) (née Fleishman) Zhenia Berovna (born 23 November 1936, Riga) was born into the family of a hired salesman, Ber Modkhelevich Fleishman (1898–1960, Riga), and a housewife, Gisya Khaimovna Fleishman (née Ragolskaya) (born 1898, Riga). She received her secondary education at School No. 23 in Riga, graduating in 1955, and in 1957 completed her studies at the 4th Medical School as a medical assistant. She worked as the head of the medical station at the “Dzintars” factory (1957–1959, Riga) and as a nurse at United Polyclinic No. 5 (1958, Riga).

In her marriage to Isroel Berovich Beshkin (born 1932, Riga), she had a daughter, Bella Isroelovna Beshkina (born 19 June 1962, Riga).

In 1976, Zhenia Beshkina received permission to emigrate to Israel, where since 1964 her husband's uncle (he was the brother of his mother, Berta Yankelovna Beshkina) – Avraam Yankelovich Kabiller (born 1900, Sabile) – had been residing.
