Zel (Seel) (née Glatsman) Eida Shlomovna (17.03.1906, Kuldīga) – seamstress.
In 1918 Eida Zel completed 5 grades of elementary school in Liepāja. From 1919 to 1934 Z. worked as a seamstress in private workshops in Liepāja. From 1934 to 1941 she was supported by her husband, Mayrim Zel (1910). At the beginning of the war, Eida Zel was evacuated to Sverdlovsk Region, where she worked as a seamstress at the industrial plant in Verkhnyaya Salda. From 1945 she was a homemaker.
In marriage,Eida Zel had children: Liya (Zelda) Gulyashka (née Zel) (1936, Riga), Silva Mayrimovna Zel (1939, Riga), Shlem-Leib Mayrimovich Zel (1947, Riga), Mikhail Mayrimovich Zel (1946, Riga), and Masha Mayrimovna Zel (1952, Riga). In 1958 Eida Zel and her husband began living separately, though the marriage was not officially dissolved.
Her father, Shleima-Leib Glatzman (1875, Kuldīga – 1925, Liepāja), was buried in Liepāja. Her mother, Sore-Rive Glatzman (1877, Lithuania – 1939, Riga), was buried in Riga. Her brothers, Itzhak Glatzman (1903, Liepāja) and Ruvim Glatzman (1913, Liepāja), lived and worked in Israel in the 1960s. Her brother, Khaim-Ernest Glatzman-Auniņ (1908), left Latvia in 1936 in search of work and lived and worked in France in the 1960s. Her sisters, Dina Glatzman (1910, Liepāja – 1941(?), Riga) and Masha Svidel (née Glatzman) (1915, Liepāja – 1941(?)), were murdered in Riga during the German occupation. Her brother, Shapse Glatzman (1911 – …), went missing during World War II. Her sister, Bluma Glatzman (1918, Liepāja – 1943), died at the front.
