Yuter Elias b. 11 February 1888 in Lithuania; in 1894–1901 he studied at a kheyder in Krokenov, Panevėžys District, Kaunas Governorate (Krekenava, Lithuania); in 1901–1906 – at the Kaunas yeshiva (Kaunas, Lithuania); he was inducted into his position by the chief rabbi of Riga, M. Zak. Shochet (ritual slaughterer) of the Jelgava rabbinate from 1926.
