Vulfson (Wulfsohn, Wulfson) Motel Shneerovich (b. 5 October 1874, Bauska) – labourer.

Motel Vulfson was born into the family of Shneer Wulfson (d. 1875, Bauska) and Dveira Wulfson (d. 1914, Daugavpils). He received no formal education and began working in childhood – first as a butcher’s assistant, then as a livestock procurer (1914–1941, Kārsava). From 1941 to 1945, he was evacuated to Bashkiria (Sernur District), where he worked on the “Buraly” kolkhoz. In 1945, he returned to Kārsava, and in 1963 moved to Riga.

He was married to Esther Fayvusovna Wulfson (née Zelybovich) (b. 1876, Bauska – d. 1924, Kārsava). They had two daughters – Rocha Motelovna Sandler (née Wulfson) (b. 1900, Bauska) and Gita Motelovna Elkind (née Wulfson) (b. 1904, Bauska), and a son, Fayvush Motelovich Wulfson (b. 1909, Bauska – killed during the Second World War).

In 1964, Motel Wulfson received permission to emigrate to Israel, where Aryeh Solomonovich Elkind, the brother of his daughter Gita’s husband, had been residing since 1924.
