Vogelmanis Basya (Basja) Izrailevna (née Becker; also Vogelman) (20 March 1890, Mikulino, Smolensk губерния — 1959, Riga) - knitter.
Basya Vogelmanis received three classes of home education. In 1910 her family moved to Riga, where until 1918 she worked as a knitter. Subsequently she devoted herself to household duties, transferring the management of the family workshop and shop for knitting supplies, located on Marijas Street in Riga, to her husband.
During the Soviet period she was deported to Krasnoyarsk Krai and returned with her family to Riga in the 1950s. From the mid-1950s she was a disabled person of the second category and was supported by her husband, who was a pensioner.
Her son, Barukh (Boris) Aronovich Vogelman (1920), left in 1938 to study in Palestine. In 1957 she and her husband applied for permission to move to join their son; this permission was granted only in 1960, after her death.
