Vainer (Weiner) (née Gertzbach) Gita Isakovna (17 December 1920, Jelgava, Latvia) — labourer.

Gita Vainer was born to Isak Yankelevich Gertzbach (1890 – murdered by the Nazis in 1941, Jelgava) and Rocha Yakovlevna Gertzbach (née Aronson) (1895 – murdered by the Nazis in 1941, Jelgava). She graduated from the Latvian Gymnasium in Jelgava in 1937 and worked as a shop assistant apprentice and later as a saleswoman in a perfumery (1937–1941). During World War II, she was evacuated to the town of Yaransk, Kirov Region, where she worked first as a labourer, then as a kindergarten teacher at the “Bolshoye Pole” collective farm (1941–1945). Upon returning to Latvia, she worked in Riga as an apprentice inspector, inspector, and eventually head of savings bank branch 6750/051 (1945–1979).

She had a daughter Raya Borisovna Ginzburg (née Vainer) (b. 1956, Riga) from her marriage to Boris Khaimovich Vainer (1920–1971, Riga).

The marriage ended in divorce in 1970.

In 1988, Gita Vainer received permission to emigrate to Israel, where her sister Lyubov Isakovna Gamarnik (née Gertzbach) (b. 1929, Jelgava) had been living since 1980.
