Shnayder Iosif (1927)

Shnayder Iosif (26.05.1927, Riga) ― prisoner of Zion. In 1957 he was arrested “for engaging in criminal contacts with the Israeli embassy in Moscow, for attempting to hijack the cruiser Molotov in order to escape on it to the State of Israel, and for attempting to assassinate Egyptian President Gamal Abdel Nasser.”
He was sentenced to 4 years' confinement in a labor camp. He served his sentence in the Potma camps of Mordovia. He was released in 1961.
In 1969 he left for Israel.
