It is possible that the responsum in the manuscript scroll (p. 39) of the responsa of R. Nachman Eidel Margolies, rabbi of Jakobstadt (held in the Moscow Library), from “the eve of Shabbat, Rosh Chodesh Shevat of the year [chronogram]” on the matter of the kashering of roller mills for Passover, is addressed to him: “To the honor of the friend, son of a friend, the rabbi, renowned as a gaon and glory, sharp and expert, known for praise, our master R. Natan Shlomo, may he live. Your precious letter reached me today, and first of all I bless his honor on the new rabbinical position placed on his shoulders.”
