Shavlov Fayvish Movshevich (27.06.1924, Varakļāni, Latvia) – worker. Born into the family of small trader Shavlov Movsha Fayvishevich (1892–1937, Varakļāni) and Shavlova (Dimant) Sara Itikovna (1896 – killed by the Nazis in 1941, Balvi District). He completed 6 grades of school in the village of Rugāji (1937, Balvi District); following his father's death he left school to help his mother with the household. He studied at a factory-and-works school (1940–1941, Rēzekne), was evacuated to the town of Petropavlovsk in North Kazakhstan Oblast, where he studied at a factory-and-works school (1941–1942), and fought on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War (1942–1945). Until 1963 he worked in enterprises of the bread industry (the documents contain no specific data on where or in which years). He was a worker at the “Ausma” rubber-technical-products plant (1962–1988, Riga).
His marriage to Shavlova (Dranauskaitė) Janina Bernatovna (1928, Šiauliai, Lithuania) produced a son, Shavlov Boris Fayvishevich (1952, Riga), and a daughter, Lat (Shavlova) Diana Fayvishevna (1956, Riga). The marriage was dissolved in 1977.
In 1988 he petitioned for permission to travel to the USA to visit his sister Yakobson (Shavlova) Ita Movshevna (1921, Rugāji, Balvi District), who had left for Israel in 1972 and later for the USA.
The documents contain no record of whether permission was granted or refused.
