In 1941 she was evacuated to Gorky Region and until 1942 worked at the Dzerzhinsky state farm. In 1942–44 she was employed at the Leninabad garment and knitwear factory. In 1944–45 she worked at the Leninabad canning plant.
In 1945 Tsivo Preis returned to Riga; until 1950 and again in 1955–57 she worked as a home-based seamstress. In 1950–55 she was a shop assistant in the “Sagatatajs” artel. In 1957–64 she worked as a saleswoman in food retail stores of the Moscow District of Riga.
