Platinskaya (née Galperin) Bella Lvovna (5 August 1918, Barnaul, Altai Krai) - physician.
Bella Platinskaya was born into the family of Lev Grigorievich Galperin (1881, Białystok, Poland – 1967, Riga) and Rakhil Samuilovna Galperina (1881, Białystok – 1933, Tashkent). In 1921 the family moved to Tashkent, where Bella Lvovna completed secondary school in 1938 and subsequently graduated from the Medical Institute in 1943.
From 1943 to 1945 she worked as a physician at the construction site of the Farhad Hydroelectric Power Station (Begovat, Uzbek SSR). After moving to Tashkent, she worked as a physician and as an instructor in sanitary studies at an FZU vocational school (1945–1946). From 1946 to 1949 she served as an unpaid resident physician at the clinic of the Institute of Emergency Care. In 1949–1950 she worked as a physician at the Central United Hospital, then as a physician in the emergency medical service (1950–1954), and at Polyclinic No. 15 (1954–1960).
After relocating to Riga, she worked as a physician at Polyclinic No. 7 (1960–1968) and Polyclinic No. 12 (1968–1970), and from 1970 to 1974 as an infectious disease specialist at Polyclinic No. 12.
Her first marriage was to Mikhail Abramovich Platinsky (born 1914, Tashkent – killed in action in 1941 during the Great Patriotic War). This marriage produced no children.
In her second marriage, to Yuma Iosifovich Fleisher (born 1921, Ostrovets, Poland), two children were born: Alexander Yumovich Fleisher (born 1948, Tashkent) and Iren Yumovna Fleisher (born 1957, Tashkent).
In 1975 Bella Platinskaya received permission to emigrate to Israel, where members of her family were already living: her brother-in-law Menakhem Iosifovich Fleisher (born 1923, Ostrovets), who had resided there since 1945 after liberation from the Auschwitz concentration camp, and her son Alexander Yumovich Fleisher, who had emigrated in 1974.
