Lisnyansky Elik Khaimovich (1944)

Lisnyansky Elik Khaimovich (30 April 1944, Melekes, Ulyanovsk Region) — engineer.

Elik Lisnyansky was born into the family of Khaim Elyevich Lisnyansky (1904, Kovnaty, Rezekne District) and Sofia Petrovna Lisnyanskaya (née Mostyshcher) (1914, Brest-Litovsk). In 1948 his parents moved to Riga.

In 1961 he completed Riga Secondary School No. 18. In 1961–64 he was a student of the Mechanical Faculty of the Riga Polytechnic Institute. In 1961–63 he worked as a repair fitter at the VEF factory. In 1964–67 he served in the Soviet Army (military unit 16767).

In 1971 he graduated from the evening faculty of Automation and Computer Engineering of the Riga Polytechnic Institute. In 1967–71 he worked as an electromechanic of the road electrical laboratory at the power-supply section of Zasulauks Station. In 1971–75 he was senior engineer and leading engineer at the Central Scientific Research Institute of Communications. In 1975–79 he worked as leading engineer and leading designer at the VEF Design Bureau. From 1979 he served as machine supervisor at the Republican Computing Centre of “Goskomselkhoztekhika”.

In his marriage to Bella Grigoryevna Lisnyanskaya (née Freydenson) (1944, Irkutsk) were born two children: Mark Elikovich Lisnyansky (1965,Riga) and Rimma Elikovna Lisnyanskaya (1976, Riga).

In 1980 Elik Lisnyansky received permission to emigrate to Israel.
